Kelly + Ralph’s Sunset Wedding Portrait Session | Sedona, Arizona

I have a handful of ride or die couples that support me so hard, and cheer for me from the side lines well after their wedding is over. These two babes are one of those couples.
I met Kelly and Ralph when they were in Lake Tahoe in 2019. They had just gotten engaged and wanted pictures in Tahoe before they went home to Pennsylvania. We had so much fun at that shoot that I stayed out well past my bedtime, chatting over dinner. Then I was lucky enough to shoot their wedding in Pittsburgh on Valentines Day in 2020. I was so wrapped up in their family and friends love, it was one of the first times I felt like so much more than a vendor.
Kell is a traveling nurse and right now she’s in Phoenix, so when I planned this trip, I asked if they’d be down to do a shoot with me in Sedona. Since their wedding was at night on the coldest day of the year, we never had a chance to get the dreamy sunset portraits all my couples get. So this session was my redemption song.
Ralph traveled to Phoenix with their wedding outfits in tow, which is no easy feat. We made everything else about the shoot as casual and as easy as possible, since their every day lives/jobs are really difficult.
And so we made this magic. Under a 360 degree sunset in one of Sedona’s many energy vortexes. The weather was perfect, the florals were amazing, and everything came together.
I work really hard and I have a hard time blaming luck, but in times like these I know I’m lucky. Lucky know Kelly and Ralph, privileged to have the career I have, and to get to do amazing things like this. Shit just comes together, and it feels so good.
I love these two so much .
