Brandis and Nick were supposed to have a big wedding in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, but like with many other couples, COVID-19 had other plans for them. After a ton of deliberation, they chose to cancel their plans in Tahoe and opted to have a backyard Microwedding with only their family present. They live in the prettiest beach house just a short walk to the water and they thought, “why not here?” And so that’s what they did.
It was Labor Day Weekend and places were packed. You’d never know we were in a pandemic. Luckily, after getting ready in two separate places, Nick and Brandis met on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean to say their nuptials. You’d never know it by looking at most of the photos, but the crowded beach below us were cheering for them and playing love songs for them the whole ceremony. The sweet cheers coming from below made it feel like a real party.
After their ceremony, we all went back to their house where Camryn from Helianthus Floral had created the most beautiful display for dinner. The meal for dinner was personalized takeout boxes by Far Out Catering Brandis and Nick danced and kissed and ate cake. I’m so glad they had the night of their dreams in spite of a pandemic.
